Five Mile: Not

I know racing in the mud is supposed to be mountain bikey and all, but in Utah we are spoiled with sunshine most of the year. I am not fast enough to care about the series, and not all that excited about spending a bunch of time cleaning and rebuilding the bike after a muddy race.

So I drove out to 5 mile, hung out for a while, and then came home and rode the trainer.

Rainy 5 Mile

Some of the others did race, but less than half the usual time or distance. I am glad those who wanted to race in the rain had fun, but I am also glad I did not race.

Rain is for farms, not bikes

"and then came home and rode the trainer." Folks, that's the difference between the pros and the rest of us.

I too missed the race (for reasons other than the weather). Although I can't say that I really missed it.

You mean you're supposed to rebuild your bike after riding in the rain? Uh oh, I'm many times overdue.
