Non-cycling Advice
As far as I know, pretty much everyone who reads my blog has the same last name as I do.
Should anyone else chance upon it and read this post, let me just say that I grew up in a technical family. My sister is somewhat less interested in machines, but unfortunately she was very little when I left home, and otherwise, my Dad has an MS in Mechanical Engineering (as do I), my mom earned her degree in Business Programming (basically Computer Science), two of my brothers have a PhD and an MS respectively in Computer Science, and my other brother is a dentist who thinks Linux is a hobby.
Anyhow, with this as a background, I would just like to pass on a little advice that may apparently serve as a useful pointer to some people. I would not previously have guessed this to be non-obvious, owing to my deficient background as explained in paragraph prior.
It is this: if you are driving down the road and feel the steering getting all sloppy and wobbly, this is a clue - it is time to pull over and STOP DRIVING. I'm not talking about driving home and pulling over, I mean right away. Should you fail to do so, you will still not make it home. If you are unlucky, you may crash (as we all remember, especially if you are in a Ford Explorer). Even if you are lucky, this will happen:
A patch will likely not fix this.

Maybe if you had had Stan's in it?
When, where, how did that happen?
It's an interesting dissection. Did you take it home for autopsy?
