Bush-Whacker
Cold has been feeling better for a few days. Had a great ride yesterday AM with Bp, and I thought it would be fun to do something different today, so I went for a new loop - Up Maple Hollow, over Suncrest, down Corner Canyon, back to the house. It worked, kind of. There is a new house blocking the mouth of Maple Hollow, so I followed a different trail at the bottom. It must have been a deer trail cause I was bush-whacking after about 2 minutes (see pic).
After a few mins of that I cut up-hill to the real trail, which was pretty good last year, but is totally over-grown this year (prob because the house is blocking the bottom of the trail, so no 4-wheelers to keep things under control).
Anyhow, a few walking sections and steep climbs later I was on top of Suncrest with the front tire going down. Put in a little propane and good to go.
Couldn't find the Suncrest Loop trail. Maybe I did, but I didn't want to go down it because of the my front tire. Not sure. Followed the road over to Corner Canyon and then down the new single-track and back to the house.
When they get the new trail up from the top of Oak Hollow done, the loop is going to be super.
