Super Six

All psyched to race and blame on the rain - no racing to be done. After standing around for about an hour, Deer Valley was a wet weather bust. Due to work commitments, I may not make it to the Wednesday night rendition.

So I came home and put my new road bike together - a Cannondale Super 6. Scott wants to know where the '6' comes from - honestly I don't know. Anyway, I put SRAM Red components on it with the wheels and cranks from my separated System 6.

When I got the System 6, it was a total 'wow' experience. I couldn't believe how much better it was than my old bike had been. I wasn't really expecting that out of this bike, but after a few cranks on the pedals and a couple high-speed corners I thought 'wow' and was in love with the Super 6. Granted all I have into it is a slightly rainy TT up Suncrest, but so far I think the handling suits me, the pedaling stiffness is really good, and the vertical compliance on potholes is awesome.

Oh, and the weight? With the powertap/clincher wheels, two bottle cages, run-of-the-mill egg beater pedals, and the Fizik Arionne saddle it is still under 16 lbs. Maybe you could put a motor in there and stay under the UCI limit. Awesome.
